Sarah Tiana invited me over to her apartment to give me the follow up to our last conversation. Don’t listen to this one without listening to episode 73, on which this is based. She’s doing a lot better now. Time and information has helped.

Episode Features

The Music

Pink has some sick songs. I know I’m not supposed to like her, but I do.

Sex Pistols

I love this version. Cake is one of the most underrated bands of the last 20 years. Even their B-sides are good.

Sea Change is an amazing breakup album. Just amazing. I heard it’s about his relationship with Winona Ryder. He said he couldn’t write about it for years afterwards because it still hurt too much. And when he was finally able to start expressing it, this is what he came up with.

Cort McCown invited Steve Rannazzisi and me to his apartment to talk about his old days as a Hollywood heartthrob. He had some crazy times when he was younger. He boned women I could only dream of. And a few of them that I actually did dream of.

Episode Extras

Man, I forgot how sweet this movie was. “You shit on my house!”

Cort McCown doing standup at the Improv who knows when. He’s calm here because after 10 years, the coke had all left his system.

Can’t Buy Me Love reunion. Aaah, good times.

Cort’s IMDB. Blackballed for a decade until Rannazzisi got him on The League

The Music

I heard Sheryl Crow’s “Greatest Mistake” was about when she boned Eric Clapton. And this was prime Sheryl Crow, not that cougar version that dated Lance Armstrong.

Seeger – Hollywood nights

I think this is the only song I can think of where they used sniffing as a musical instrument.

RIP Bianca. I didn’t get into Betty Blowtorch until after she had died and the band had broken up but man, they were fucking awesome. If you can find the album, absolutely get it. I’m telling you.
