Danish and Oneill came over to my Los Angeles AirBnB to talk about when it’s time to call it a career in show business. That was the topic. Obviously we tangented onto some ridiculous crap. And somehow we managed to end it around a fire pit making smores. I’m not quite sure how that happened. It’s always a good time when Jeff Danis and Ryan Oneill come on and this one was no exception. Now hopefully Danis will come to his senses and release the episode of Danish and Oneill that I did over a year ago.

Some rando stuck his hand in to the shot because I think he didn’t realize what we were trying to show. But you can really see the difference in wristbands. Look closely under the devil horns and you can see the gum!

Ari Shaffir’s Skeptic Tank #96: Hemmorhoad Trip with Brent Weinbach

Brent Weinbach and I took a road trip home from San Francisco to Los Angeles on New Years day. We stopped at all the places we’ve always wanted to stop and tasted some delicious new foods. It was the best time I’ve ever had with an extreme sufferer of OCD. So, take a trip with us back to a time of wonder, a time of innocence, come back to January 1, 2013.

Brent won’t eat with his hands. He thinks they’re too dirty. So instead, he pours the bags of peanuts and pretzels into a napkin which coats his hand, and then brings his face down to eat, much like a dog might if it had just the beginnings of very rudimentary thumbs.

We got so many bags of stuff at Casa de Fruta! I was afraid the lady behind the counter was gonna look at me all strange and make it weird but she was totally cool about it.

Casa de Peacock. Wonderment and excitement awaited us at every turn. Well, just this one turn. But it was a sharp turn.

Big boys go home happy? The weary travelers get to quench their hunger the way the vikings did of lore. By eating split pea soup at Andersen’s.

Here’s the placemat. We were at the top one.

Even the bread was delicious at Harris Ranch. Even the fucking bread. We were so full after this we barely had time for fruit logs.

Barely but still time. Fruit logs! Turds of the Gods. The maple syrup apple one was the surprise hit of the winter in Casa de Shaffir.

Hey, don’t forget to check out Brent’s CD, Mostly Live at iTunes now. It just came out.

Brent looks pretty badass in this reflection off the radio, huh? That’s not a puff of smoke in front of him. That’s the top of 6 bags of treats from Casa de Fruta.

Tongos. Or Pongos. I forgot now. Maybe Tangos? That seems like it’s already a thing. Togos? Pago, maybe? I don’t low. But they were good and not like the logs at all. I thought one would just be fatter version of the other. The kiwi one was a huge hit.

This was that other thing. I’ll admit, I don’t remember what this one was called or what it tasted like. Or even what the texture was like. But I think we ate that outside Harris Ranch right after the Tango/pogo. Oh, wait. It might be the chocolate covered blackberry. Could that be it? I have a vague memory of that being really good.

And finally, here’s the link to a very interesting video, Ultimate Drumming Technique.

And really. Brent really wants people to get his CD.
